Noticeboard

Bank Holiday opening

We are open this weekend as usual, but closed on Bank Holiday Monday. This poster shows details of local pharmacies open on 26 August. For wider availability please go to www.nhs.uk.

Electronic prescriptions

This service is now available for patients of some practices in North Hampshire.  If your practice has signed up for this and you have a repeat prescription, it can now be signed and sent to a pharmacy of your choice electronically.  If you would like to take advantage of this service, please ask for a Nomination Form when you are next in the pharmacy. Once you have authorised Anstey Road Pharmacy as your receiving chemist, your GP can send us your e-prescription electronically.  The system is totally safe - and it usually takes less than a hour for a prescription to reach us.

Dispensing

pharmacist_4We dispense both NHS and private prescriptions. We keep and comprehensive medicine stock and use a fast and efficient wholesaler service to fulfil all prescriptions quickly.

When we dispense your prescriptions, we keep a computerised record of the items dispensed. When you next bring a prescription here our records quickly tell us whether you may safely take a medicine with any others you are taking. Any warnings or recommendations will automatically appear on the label.

Repeat Dispensing Service

We offer a repeat dispensing service which means that your regularly prescribed medicines can be obtained directly from the pharmacy. Your repeat prescription will be dispensed so that your medicine is ready to pick up at a convenient time. Please ask the pharmacist for more information about this service.

Prescription Delivery Service

We can deliver your prescription if you are housebound or infirm and do not have a carer who can collect them for you. Telephone your pharmacist for more information.

Information about Prescription Medicines

Many of the medicines we dispense for you are supplied in the manufacturer’s original pack complete with a leaflet containing information about the medicine, which is required by law.
Please speak to the pharmacist if there is anything in the leaflet which you are unsure about or if you have any further questions.

Unwanted Medicines

Do Not Hoard Medicines – it can be fatal.
Return unused medicines to us for safe destruction. Don’t put them in the bin or flush them down the toilet.
